Total count is 150 contributed posts, plus a few others on private blogs that I couldn’t access. Thanks to all who took part!
Today is the second annual Blogging for LGBT Families Day, a time for the LGBT community and our allies to come together in support of our families. Below is the list of contributed blog posts so far. I will be updating the list every few hours throughout the day, so stop back often.
To contribute, send an e-mail to lgbtfamilies@mombian.com or leave a comment with a link to your post.
Thanks to everyone who contributed already. I wish I could thank each of you personally, but sheer numbers make that doubtful.
Many thanks to the Family Pride Coalition for their sponsorship, and to COLAGE and Mike Rogers of PageOneQ, among many others, for help in promoting the event.

Putting mine up right now. It’s finally midnight on the left coast.
Here is my post. Let’s see if I managed to get the link right.
I posted it on Is America Burning instead of “granny” because it’s the political blog. Hope that’s okay.

[...] In honor of today being “Blogging for LGBT Families Day”, I wanted to talk a little about the single most important lesson you can teach your kids. While I’m no expert in raising kids (my cats aren’t too hung up on worry or guilt long as they see food, water, and fresh litter), I do know that teaching your kids how to be comfortable in their own skin is the most important lesson you can ever gift them. And, the good news is that you get to learn more about yourself and benefit in the process. [...]
Parent Dish (formerly Blogging Baby) has linked to you and my friend Yondalla has her post up.

We’ve got a post about the governor of New Hampshire signing civil unions into law. I saw go New Hampshire, but I believe that ALL forms of LGBTQ families deserve equality, whether people choose to get married or not.

Here’s ours. A little negative.

[...] Happy Blogging for LGBT Families Day, Dana Rudolph’s inspired jamboree of blogular LGBT family love and visibility! For those of us who are L or G or B or T, and whose writing online is occasioned by and peopled with our families, every day is Blogging for LGBT Families Day. It’s Blogging for LGBT Families Day when we write about the tempest-toss’d route from wannabe to actual parenthood (an epic journey, pretty much, for all of us). It is when we write about our queer families’ experiences of exclusion — or inclusion — at the childbirth education class at the hospital, or at the adoption agency, or at the preschool orientation, or in our kids’ schools’ educational materials. It’s Blogging for LGBT Families Day when we share our children’s brave and heartwarming statements of pride in their families, like Vikki has on her blog Up Popped a Fox. [...]
Ooopsie! Worlds longest “pingback” quote thingie. I’m out of town (way, way out of town; other side of the country out of town), so it took me a hair longer than usual to get today’s dittie up. Thanks, Dana, for throwing such a great party (and Family Pride, for supporting it)!
My blog is all about my family. I try to post every single day and mostly just ramble on about the joys and frustration of being a mom to two small children and the partner of a 3rd year law student.
