Today is the start of Pride and also #LGBTQFamiliesDay, which sits between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day to remind us that families come in many forms! First, a Note
As we begin Pride this year, the blight of racism continues to rip at our country’s soul. It will do us well to recall that Pride was born from protest and resistance, led by people of color. As we celebrate LGBTQ families today, let us remember that we cannot have LGBTQ justice without also having racial justice, and must work towards both, hand in hand.

Celebrate by convening with other LGBTQ+ parents across the country on June 1, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. ET, swapping tips and tricks for surviving this challenging time. Family Equality will facilitate a discussion and also listen for the needs of our community so they can build programs and push policy agendas that directly address the challenges you’re facing right now. Bring the Family to Our Online Concert and Giveaway
Join award-winning children’s music duo Ants on a Log for a special live online concert just for #LGBTQFamiliesDay today, June 1, 2020, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. ET. Tune in at that time over at the Family Equality site or at their Facebook page. Don’t forget to post photos of your family enjoying the music and mention #LGBTQFamiliesDay!
