Unarmed Truth and Unconditional Love

I could use some Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. today. Anyone else?

My heart goes out to the families and friends of the three Baton Rouge police officers who died yesterday after a gunman opened fire, barely a week after five officers were shot in Dallas. Their deaths are tragedies. The deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile by police officers are tragedies. But I have to believe that more violence is never the answer. We can do better than this, America. We have to.

  1. You have summed up my own thoughts beautifully! The answer is not more violence. The answer is tolerance and understanding. The question is how to break through anger to reach a place that people can step away from fear and find understanding. If somebody has the answer, please let me know! :-)
