A very merry Christmas to those of you celebrating the holiday today! My family and I are entering the homestretch of our multi-denominational holiday festivities, which extend roughly from Thanksgiving to New Year’s or until the holiday treats run out.
In the true mix ‘n match spirit of our family, my Jewish mother is joining us for Christmas dinner, at which I’m going to cook a turkey my Protestant spouse’s employer gave each employee for Thanksgiving. (We had our Thanksgiving celebration at my brother’s, so our bird has been taking up space in the freezer for a month—and I’m tired of not having room to keep any ice cream.)
Posting will be light for a few days, because the eggnog won’t be.
