In less than three minutes, this adorable kids’ video from the Pop n’ Olly series explains different types of families.
The host and creator of the show is Olly Pike, a British actor and filmmaker who has performed in the West End and co-starred in the BAFTA-winning CBBC kids’ game shows Trapped and Trapped: Ever After. His children’s vlog series Pop n’ Olly stars himself and a balloon named Pop. Aimed at four- to seven-year-olds, it also involves “a lot of mess and general bedlam,” according to Pike’s website. Most of the episodes center around a fun craft or activity, but this one discusses the many types of families one might encounter, including ones headed by same-sex parents, different-sex parents, single parents, and ones with grandparents or others as guardians.
