Actor Sara Gilbert, co-host of CBS’ The Talk, announced on yesterday’s show that she and her spouse, musician Linda Perry, are expecting their first child together.
Gilbert revealed her pregnancy after being told of her pending challenge in the show’s “Face Your Fears” segment. She said she couldn’t do the dare because she was pregnant — and her co-hosts reacted with surprise and joy (and, thankfully, no intrusive questions like, “Who’s the father?”)
Gilbert is already a mom, however, and has two children, ages seven and nine, with her former partner, television producer Allison Adler.
Gilbert and Perry married this past March. Congratulations to them on their upcoming arrival!
