These two delightful videos will start your Friday right. Both show fathers who are awesome in different ways, and both have fun twists at the end.
The videos are part of the Love Is Changing History initiative from AT&T and The Trevor Project, the crisis intervention and suicide prevention service for LGBTQ youth. AT&T will donate money to Trevor for each Facebook or Twitter share of the videos from the Love Is Changing History site.
I started out thinking this video, directed by singer Lance Bass, was just about different ways to express masculinity as a father (or father-to-be). It was good enough on that score — but then I watched to the end. You should, too.
This one, directed by actor Pauley Perrette, isn’t primarily about the dad — but his support and love of his daughter shine through. And damn, how things have changed since I was in high school. (I’m not just talking about the cell phones.)
