		<description>Yes, you&#039;re right that taxes are on the employer&#039;s cost. Didn&#039;t mean to imply otherwise. Costs of policies differ, though, so maybe yours is on the high end.</description>

You&#039;re taxed not on your monthly cost, but the amount the employer pays, which is generally $500-$1000/month. I know this because it&#039;s calculated on my pay stubs (they literally impute their payment as income to me, tax it, then deduct it...turns out to be nearly $200 a month extra).</description>
