		<description>Just a note about international adoption of Hatian orphans.  The time immediately after a disaster is NOT the time to prioritize international adoptions.  The priority should be on getting food, water, meds, shelter, etc. to needy kids.  Once these needs are met, the priority should be reuniting kids with bio parents or relatives.  I&#039;m a big supporter of adoption, especially by LGBT folks, but if &quot;disaster adoptions&quot; occur, many birth families will be victimized twice: once by the earthquake and again when they are never reunited with their kids.</description>
