Another vote for Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Absolutely the best book for anyone trying to conceive.

Fascinating!

The Brill book is what we used (actually its first edition, co-authored with Kim Toevs, her former business partner), but I think the Pepper one wasn't out yet. Also, we attended a Maybe Baby class led by Brill and Toevs, so we were clearly partial.

Neat to see what's out there and what folks find useful. Thank you for the poll!

I don't think all of these were out when I started my reading; Pepper's book was the easiest for us to find. For the second go around, we'll stick with what we already have since it worked well enough the first time.

We used the 1st edition of the Brill book (by Toevs and Brill). It covers a lot of issues about starting a family, but the information is concrete, fairly comprehensive, and credible (the authors being nurse-midwives).
