I love your suggestions! We try to scale down the gift-giving here, although my partner loves Legos and other toys so much that sometimes she goes crazy. One thing I’m going to try this year with my kids is to have them each pick out a toy to bring to a toy drive. I’m hoping my 3-year-old won’t through a fit when we drop off the toy. We have been having some intense “separation” issues lately, but I’m hoping they’ll understand that its not all about them getting stuff.
