Aside from the sound system being somewhat lacking (hard to hear the speeches), it was a great to be among so many like-minded people. And gives me hope that Prop 8 will be overturned and the federal DOMA will be repealed before too much longer. There were quite a few young kids at the event, some holding signs like "Toddlers Agains H8te". Dana, I'd like to hear your take on when young children should be introduced to the concept that their families are discriminated against. I attended the Prop 8 rally in Boston. My straight neighbor is incredibly, supremely confident that this state of affairs just can't last -- I guess to her, it looks like everything is changing for the better very quickly. I don't always share her optimism, being on the inside, but at the rally on Saturday, I felt this great surge of energy and I have to believe that positive, life-affirming change is coming. I came away feeling a lot of hope, too.
