One of the biggest stumbling blocks is that the balance of power federally after July is going to be in the hands of a man that makes Bush look like a radical. The federal government is making noises about removing all discrimination against us, with the exception of marriage, adoption and a few other fundimentals. Interestingly enough, the leader of the opposition's brother died of HIV/AIDS, and Nelson is also very pro-gay. Both are too scared to go against the ultra-right at the moment, but hopefully this will change. Unfortunatly I live in Queensland - the 'deep North' of Australia!
