Ellen Speaks Out Against Hate
I mentioned this in my Weekly Political Roundup, but it merits a post of its own. Here’s Ellen DeGeneres talking about the recent hate-crime murder of gay eighth-grader Lawrence King. She’s more political than I’ve ever seen her, despite her protestations that she’s not a political person, and seems honestly emotional. If only more celebrities used their platforms to call for change like this. (Of course, a nice big donation to GLSEN or the Safe Schools Coalition wouldn’t hurt, either.)

I missed this show, but way to go Ellen.
My schedule allows me to watch Ellen every day. I love how she has become more and more open about being gay and gay issues this year. She got burned so badly years ago when she came out, but this year she is being so open and honest, and I love it.
