I’ll be highlighting one each day this week (with a break on Wednesday for my Freedom to Marry Blog Carnival. Saturday, I’ll tackle why civil unions and domestic partnerships are not enough, though they may still play a role in the changing landscape of human relationships. [...]

I have finally found the love of my life after 21 years of searching.Even my kids agree we are perfect together.Yet,for all the things we have going FOR us,we have only ONE thing that is against us.We don't have the right to marry. Why do politicians and so-called Christians have the right to decide OUR lives and OUR futures with no better argument than"I don't want to"?The first group is against us for absolutely no legal reasons. How did the constitution get so twisted over the years? The second group is against us for no real religious reasons.Did the Bible not say to love one another and not judge? Of course homosexuality was an abomination! The Bible was translated during a time of great bigotry, racism and sexism! If the works were done in today's time using today's scholars,do YOU think that MAYBE we would find the words had entirely DIFFERENT meanings? If only we could turn back the clock and see and fully understand the original text.We might finally know what peace on earth and unconditional love truly mean.
