The lesbian brain has made headlines recently. Scientists at the Center for Sapphic Studies in Lesbos, Greece, have taken this research a step further in a study of the brains of lesbian moms. Below is an image from their latest paper, “Lesbian Mothers of Toddlers: A Neurologic Analysis.”
Further research may be forthcoming, as soon as the lead scientist cleans jam off her sofa.

Okay, I can’t resist passing on this link to the website for Katherine Ellison’s book The Mommy Brain. She did a reading recently in which she held up a diagram of a brain, and outlined a hilarious sequence of events following her son’s having called 911 (his retaliation when she took away his Gameboy). She pointed to this & that part of the brain and what got triggered by what catalyst. But the gist of her book is conveyed in its subtitle: Motherhood makes you smarter. Ya-ha! We knew it all along!
